Udyam Registration is a voluntary and self-declaration system. Any enterprise, including cottage and village industries, can obtain recognition and certification by simply registering on the Udyam Registration portal. There is no need for enterprises to submit any supporting documents or go through any inspection process.

The process of udyam registration in India is quite simple. Any individual who wishes to start a business in India can do so by registering themselves with the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). The registration process is completely online, and all you need is a valid email ID and a mobile number. Once you have registered, you will be given a unique Udyam Registration Number (URN), which can be used to track your application status. 

The online registration process is as follows:

·       The first step is to visit the website of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

·       The second step is to click on the link for online registration.

·       The third step is to fill in the required details and submit the registration form.

·       Once the registration form is submitted, the MSME will be issued a registration certificate.

The MSME registration certificate is valid for a period of five years.
